Spider Farmer SF600 LED Grow Light for Shelves & Indoor Vegetables
The Spider Farmer SF600 is a slim, 72-watt full spectrum LED panel, one of the most capable grow lights for herbs and vegetables indoors. At 100 × 15cm it covers about 60 × 120cm of seedlings, salads and herbs on a shelf or plant stand.
This is the light for a family that wants proper amounts of homegrown green: trays of lettuce for the week, a forest of pea shoots and a spring’s worth of tomato and courgette seedlings, all on one long shelf.
A grow light for a whole shelf of herbs and vegetables
There’s deep contentment in feeding your family something you grew yourself, without pesticides, picked minutes before it’s eaten. The SF600 gives you enough light to make that a weekly habit, not just a summer treat.
A full shelf becomes a living classroom: plant life cycles, roots, leaves and light, all happening at child height in the corner of the room.

Frequently asked questions
How many hours should I leave it on?
For most kitchen herbs and houseplants, 12 to 14 hours a day works well. Seedlings often prefer 14 to 16 hours, then a proper dark night.
How far should it be from the plants?
About 30 to 45cm above seedlings to start, then a little closer as plants toughen. Raise the light if leaf tips bleach.
How much electricity does it use?
At about 72W for 12 hours a day it uses roughly 0.86 kWh a day. At about 25p per kWh, that is about 22p a day.
Is it safe around pets and children?
Keep cords tidy and out of reach, and hang the light so curious paws or little hands cannot pull it down. Supervise watering near electrics as you would with any household appliance.
Does it have a UK plug?
Yes. It uses a UK plug.
