Grow Gadgets Digital Thermometer & Hygrometer for Plants
The Grow Gadgets digital hygrometer thermometer is a palm-sized, battery-powered monitor that shows temperature (-10 to 50°C) and humidity (10 to 99%) with min/max memory, so you know exactly what your houseplants and seedlings are living in.
Is the bathroom fern happy? Is the windowsill too cold for the seed trays at night? Pop this little screen on the shelf and, by morning, the min/max memory tells you the whole story: the coldest dip, the warmest afternoon, the driest air.
A digital hygrometer and thermometer for happy plants
Plants can’t tell us when they’re too cold or the air’s too dry, but they show it in crispy leaf tips and slow growth. A simple reading takes the guesswork out, so you can move a plant, mist it or open a window before it struggles.
It’s a brilliant home-education tool too. Track the temperature and humidity in different rooms for a week, chart the results and discover which spot your plants should love most.
What your hygrometer helps with
- Finding the right humidity for ferns, calatheas and tropicals
- Checking night-time lows on a seed-tray windowsill
- Knowing when to mist, humidify or ventilate
- Keeping propagators from getting too hot
- Science projects charting temperature and humidity at home
Small screen, big peace of mind
- Two readings in one. Temperature and relative humidity side by side.
- Min/max memory. See the overnight lows and daytime highs you’d otherwise miss.
- °C or °F. Switch at the press of a button.
- Clock and alarm. 12 or 24-hour time display with a daily alarm.
- No cables. Runs on a single AAA battery, for roughly 12 months of typical use.
- Stand or hang. Sits on a shelf or mounts on a wall.
Humidity and houseplants: your questions answered
What is the ideal humidity for houseplants?
Many houseplants are happy at around 40 to 60% humidity; tropical plants such as calatheas, ferns and orchids prefer 60% or more.
How accurate is it?
Temperature is accurate to about ±1°C and humidity to about ±5% RH, which is ideal for home growing.
Where should I put a hygrometer?
At plant height, away from radiators, direct sun and grow lights, so it reads what your plants feel.
What does min/max mean?
It records the lowest and highest readings since you last reset it, so you can spot cold nights and dry afternoons.
